To lead and manage field quality initiatives across EV battery systems and charging infrastructure networks. The Field Quality Manager will ensure adherence to safety and performance standards, drive root cause elimination for fi eld issues, and establish preventive systems to enhance field reliability and customer satisfaction.
Job Title -Field Quality Manager
Work Location - Bengaluru.
Experience Required - 7–9 years of experience in fi eld quality, reliability engineering, or electrical commissioning — preferably in EV, automotive, energy, or power electronics domain.
Education Qualification -B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Required Skills -
- Strong leadership and communication skills; able to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset with practical field execution capability.
- Ability to influence teams and suppliers to adopt corrective and preventive actions.
- Customer-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to fast-paced EV industry challenges.
- Willingness to travel to customer and field locations.
Key Responsibilities-
- Lead field quality operations for EV batteries, chargers, and electrical systems across multiple sites.
- Develop and enforce quality standards for fi eld installations, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct advanced root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring fi eld failures involving electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, service, and suppliers) for problem closure through structured CAPA.
- Perform technical audits of charging station installations, electrical safety compliance, and battery deployment quality.
- Analyze fi eld performance data to identify quality trends, failure patterns, and systemic issues.
- Drive reliability improvement projects, including design validation feedback and supplier quality escalation.
- Mentor and train field engineers and service partners on inspection, safety, and troubleshooting standards.
- Support certification and compliance activities (IS/IEC/UL) related to field operations.
Preferred Skills-
- Experience with EV vehicle integration, testing and charging grid quality assessments.
- Exposure to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 systems and supplier quality management.
- Familiarity with software update validation and remote diagnostics processes.
- Prior experience in team handling or mentoring field quality teams.
